Kick to kicks : My journey

Well, as a kid I remember my uncle saadat ali khan saying "You have some moves with your feet kid". I was not sure of what that comment would get me to.

If you told me five years ago that I’d be kicking in *both* Taekwondo and football, I’d have laughed—mostly because I thought I’d be dribbling like Neymar by now. Yet here I am, a certified ninja and football captain, kicking my way through life in every possible sense.

My Taekwondo journey started when I was just a kid trying to figure out how to break boards without breaking myself. Five years later, I’m a Black Belt—the youngest in my academy, might I add. I’ve trained people, traveled internationally, and even snagged a gold medal while representing my country. Who knew I’d be kicking *everything* except a football?

Speaking of football, when I’m not in a dobok throwing roundhouse kicks, I’m out on the field, channeling my inner Neymar (minus the hair, unfortunately). As the left-wing captain of my school team for five years, I’ve learned that while running fast is cool, dodging defenders and bad passes requires next-level Neymar-like skills. Let’s be honest, I might not be pulling off his fancy tricks just yet, but I like to think my footwork is getting there!

Whether it’s the Taekwondo mats or the football field, I’ve realized one thing: hard work, discipline, and a healthy dose of humor will keep me chasing those Neymar dreams, one kick at a time.
