Mental Health during Quarantine

So, what is mental health? It’s a big question but many people are still unaware of this kind of situation or this term. Majority of people in our country think that mental health means that person is crazy or a mad person but mental health is vastly different. Health, it means that a person’s physical condition. Just like this, a person can also have a mental condition; some of the example of a person’s mental conditions can be depression, high level of anxiety, Mood Disorders, eating disorders and the list does not stop. There can be multiple mental health issues, mainly for students, anxiety has become a vast question. Main stream media does talk about these issues’s but not like how it should be addressed. Interruption to professional careers can have serious and long-lasting effects on the financial welfare of those in quarantine, which is a known risk factor for high levels of distress and the development of psychological disorders. Now, what is anxiety? Anxiety is a feeling of restlessness, such as worry or fear, which can be mild or severe attacks. People had to face anxiety at some point of their life, but recent research and studies have proven that students all around the world have to face this situation at almost every single day.
Now, quarantine has led to some major problems to our mental health some of us realized or some of us did not. Think about it, a person who went to his job every day, he would either take a bus or maybe his car. He would go every day and reach his destination. Throughout this journey he used to see many things and observe them. He might stop in some coffee shop everyday and sit to enjoy his hot cup of coffee. The same thing goes for students who went to school and did class every single day. Now suddenly all of these actions have come to a halt, first of all it would affect your physical health because you will have to stay home. For a few weeks people will enjoy it and take it as a good holiday, but little as the day pass they would realize the affect. Maybe the person who was going to the job will start thinking about the journey, maybe he will stop drinking coffee because the only coffee he wants is from that specific coffee shop this is just an example but this is how eating disorders might start. The student will think more about meeting his friends or sitting in that wooden chair maybe even if it was not that comfortable, he will start wanting it. This issues are very common nowadays at first people might not think much about it but as people go through they will feel the difference in their thinking and in their lifestyle.
There are many ways of stopping these kinds of issues like one of them can be to learn a new hobby or to learn a new job. As all of us have heard “there is no end to learning”. Thinking about the present is always very helpful; you can easily avoid them by learning something, reading books, playing video games. Now, many online classes have started and have created a better environment for students who now can meet their friends and teachers. This online school has been a very good budge this will help students kill their time faster than ever. Now all of us are hoping to get out of these tough times. We have lost so many lives, let us stay safe and help save more lives.
